Ecological Football Fresco - AS Jacques Cartier

Environmental awareness workshop

Soccer Écologie France runs an Ecological Football Fresco workshop for members of the AS Jacques-Cartier Saint-Malo board and CSR committee.

The Football Ecological Fresco consists in creating a fresco using cards distributed to participants as they go along, gradually revealing the "hidden face of soccer" and highlighting the links between soccer and ecology.
Orchestrated by a facilitator, this workshop can bring together between 10 and 16 people (adults or children). Participants are divided into two teams, who compete against each other for the duration of the workshop, which features penalty shoot-outs, mercato, yellow and red cards... just like a real soccer match!
After identifying the key elements of soccer and the environmental impacts generated by the sport, participants discuss solutions for concretely reducing these impacts. Each participant is then invited to make a personal commitment to reducing his or her ecological footprint, through soccer or in daily life.
This workshop also calls on participants' creativity, as they draw links between the cards and various images to illustrate their Fresco and give it a title.
