To effectively and significantly reduce the carbon impact of fan travel, Stade Brestois is rolling up its sleeves to offer alternatives to the private car.

Already highly committed to its local community, Stade Brestois is gradually structuring its CSR approach. The environment is one of the pillars of this strategy, and the club is committed to raising awareness of environmental issues within its ecosystem, as well as enabling its supporters to take concrete action.

When it comes to mobility, professional clubs are well aware of how difficult it is to deal with all the issues involved. Aware of the environmental impact, particularly of greenhouse gas emissions, fine particles and other atmospheric pollutants, clubs and sporting event organizers in general have a key role to play in proposing alternative means of transport. Working in depth on this subject is also an excellent lever for improving the fan experience and facilitating stadium accessibility.

"Fan transport accounts for between 75% and 95% of a sporting event's carbon footprint".

After a successful test during the"Mai à Vélo" operation at the end of last season, and thanks to the support of the Brittany Region, Stade Brestois 29 is now offering its supporters a free, secure bike parking service at every match.

This new solution complements an already extensive range of services, including a car-sharing platform and the Bibus network, which enables passengers to travel by streetcar, bus or the free shuttle bus deployed on match days.

In addition to simplified access to the stadium, users of the bike parking area are rewarded for their efforts with a 20% discount in the store and, for the first 3 matches, free accessories from Vélozen, the electric bike specialist and partner of the club.

It's a practical system that's proving a resounding success, encouraging supporters of Stade Brestois 29 to rethink their mobility habits.
