On Wednesday February 26, 2025, the Entente Roche-Novillars soccer club, a member of Football Ecologie France, welcomed young players (U9 to U13) from the friendly club AS Saône-Mamirolle to organize a friendly match on the theme of the environment.

For the occasion, the 30 young members of the two clubs took part in a double confrontation on the pitch, as well as a quiz on ecological issues linked to their daily soccer (waste, mobility, food, biodiversity...).

After an initial period of competition, which took place in good spirits, all the young people then gathered around two impacting actions:

  • A collective planting of shrubs (Viburnum, Ceanothe, Forsythia) at the stadium, to green the area around the parking lot and encourage biodiversity (thanks to Horticulture Amiot for donating the shrubs). As the season progresses, the young players will be able to follow the growth of their plantations on their way to the stadium. The next stage in this greening project will be a second "Match for the Environment" next year?
  • A festive, eco-friendly snack, featuring local products donated for the occasion by partner producers (thanks to the Coopérative fromagère de Bouclans).

Congratulations once again to the staff, educators, volunteers and players involved in this joyful and inspiring event!

Thanks to the support of ADEME Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, which enabled the mobilization of the local Football Ecologie France team.
